Mary May – Patient Coordinator

Hi, my name is Mary and I greet patients as they enter our office, schedule appointments, answer questions, and keep Joanne’s coffee cup filled to the brim. After being in the dental field for 40 years I still learn something new every day and I love helping our patients be informed of their dental health. I love working with our doctors, as they are both caring hard working professionals and still take time to enjoy the day.

I’ve been married to Barry for 16 years and I have one son, Todd, daughter-in-law Deeya, two precious grand-children, Josh and Samantha, and my spoiled cat Molly. I like to travel, especially to the beach, shop, and spend time with my grandchildren.

Fay Yopp – Dental Assistant/Patient Coordinator

Hello, I’m Fay and I coordinate treatments for new patients, assist the dentists, and assist the front desk. Most of my patients are new, so I try to make them comfortable, and like most people they don't want to be in the dental office. I explain everything I will be doing and let them know that I understand how they feel and try to answer their questions as best as I can.

Gilbert and I have been married for 41 years. We have two daughters, Shannon and Karen, and 4 grandchildren, Dolores, Renee, Zachary, and Richard. We also have a Lab mix named Clayton and a Collie mix named Molly. I love cooking, playing golf, and keeping in touch with my grandchildren.

Joanne Stultz – Financial Coordinator

Hello, I’m Joanne and I do the office’s finances, billing, insurance, and help out at the front desk. I try to help my patients understand their insurance and get the most from their plans. I also love to get them approved for CareCredit which helps them get the treatment they need and make payments with no interest. I love to see our patients with beautiful smiles.

I am married to Eddie, and we have two Schnauzers, Maggie and Mollie, and two kittens, Callie and Sissie. I love to spend time traveling to my second home in Florida and spending time at Myrtle Beach with my husband and family. I also love the outdoors, camping and four-wheeling.

Lisa Cameron – Dental Hygienist

Hi, my name is Lisa and I provide diagnostic, preventive, and therapeutic dental care for my patients. I try to give my patients the kind of experience I would want. I see them on time, listen to their concerns, offer solution alternatives, and do my best to provide thorough, comfortable care. When I see an uneasy, frightened patient and can give them a positive experience and the information they need to move to a healthier state, I know I'm right where I should be.

I was raised in New England and married my high school sweetheart right after graduation. We raised our two daughters in this beautiful valley, and are now enjoying the greatest time in our lives, grateful that they, their husbands, and our seven grandchildren all live nearby. I love gardening, camping, and anything that takes me outdoors.

Jo Russell – Dental Hygienist

Hi, I’m Jo and I have over 25 years of experience as a dental hygienist. My patients are my life. I make them feel relaxed, have a friendly experience while keeping their mouth as healthy as possible. Both Dr. Hughes and Dr. Smith show our patients the utmost care and treat everyone individually with the best possible care.

I am married to Jeff and we have a son, John, and a daughter, Ashley. I enjoy working out, gardening, taking care of my Koi pond, and spending time with my family.

Kim Willard – Dental Hygienist

Hello, I’m Kim and I help patients maintain a healthy smile through regular cleanings, X-rays, and education. It is very rewarding to see a patient improve their oral hygiene and improve their smile. The doctors are great to work with, always easy going, and respectful of their team. Our team gets along great! You can always hear laughter in the office.

I am engaged to Jeff and I have three cats, Little, Camilla, and Agatha. I’ve been a fitness instructor at the Kirk Family YMCA for over 15 years. I love spending time in the outdoors and baking.

Hi, I’m Brenda and I’ve been a dental assistant for over 25 years. I always take the time to get to know my patients and listen to whatever concerns they may have. I love the relationships I have with my patients especially when they have something on their hearts they want to share with me.

I’ve been married to Bob for over 43 years. I have two children, Missy and Bobby, daughter-in-law, Lynn, three grandsons, Trey, Drew, Nate, and a granddaughter, Tori. I have two dogs, a Schnauzer, Daisy Mae, and a Poodle, Louie. I love music. I've been a member of North Roanoke Baptist Church for over 40 years, singing with the sanctuary choir and playing the hand bells. I love seeing my grandchildren and spoiling them rotten.

Pam Harlow – Dental Assistant

Hi, I’m Pam and I’ve been a dental assistant for 37 years. I really enjoy working with all types of patients, helping older patients understand their treatment and giving them options to improve their smiles. I also find it to be very rewarding working with children, giving them knowledge about oral care and preventive hygiene instructions that will help them throughout their adult life.

I am very proud to have two wonderful children, Bradley and Brittany, a large German Shepherd and a very fat Dachshund. I have recently become the owner of two beautiful Tennessee walker racing horses. I really enjoy playing my twelve string guitar and singing gospel music in my church.
